Maker Faire Detroit
On July 25-26, 2015, The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Mich., in collaboration with our partners at Maker Media, will be the place to visit when Maker Faire Detroit returns to The Henry Ford for two days of unconventional ingenuity, unbridled creativity and a whole lot of forward thinking.
More than 400 makers will bring their wares, ideas, inventions and solutions to this two-day festival offering everything from robots, flame shooters and animatronics to solar-powered mechanical sculptures and fashionable finds. Go to The Henry Ford, roll up your sleeves, and make something.
Get ready for an innovative week long camp learning about robotics. Alongside members of the Linden Roboeagles 3568 and GRAYT Leviathons 1322, participants will learn and experience the fun of robotics engineering and everyday science. There will be opportunities to design, build and program the Lego NXT Mindstorm into a functional robot.
This camp is a hands-on approach to beginning robotics and engineering in a non-judgmental , exciting environment.
By weeks end campers will have the basics of what the middle school and high school robotics is all about.
